Wine Review: In the glass, this red Bordeaux blend from Tuscany is a clear, deep ruby color, with aromas of red currant, leather, black plum, vanilla, cigar box, and lilacs. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium-plus acidity. The mouthfeel is soft, round, and concentrated yet fresh. Give it a bit of air and it comes together nicely. There are flavors of blackberry, stewed plum, forest floor, chocolate, and black tea, along with notes of tobacco and dried herbs. It closes with fine round tannins that are dry and very long. I would serve this red blend alongside an antipasto with plenty of cured meats. – Mark
Winemaker Notes: This wine is dark and inky with a ruby red rim. It is quite aromatic with blackberry, plum and well-integrated hints of vanilla. On the palate it is ripe and full with silky tannins and a long, lingering finish. Elements of mocha, spice and herbs are subtle but present.
