Wine Review: This deep ruby Sangiovese based wine from Italy has red cherry, vanilla, leather, and dried herbs aromas along with hints of blackberry and wet stone. On the palate, it has a round and smooth mouthfeel. It is medium bodied, balanced, and moderately acidic. There are flavors of blackberry, crushed stone, red cherry, oolong tea and oak. I also detected some hints of cranberry, vanilla, and dried herbs. The dry finish is delicate, with round tannins and is fairly long. I would pair this Chianti Rufina with a pan of beef lasagna. - Mark
Winemaker Notes: The wine has a deep ruby red color and intense bouquet of black cherry and violet aromas and flavors. It is full and round on the palate with excellent tannic structure and a round harmonious finish.
