Wine Review: This light yellow colored Verdicchio from Italy is a steal at $10! It opens with a green apple and Anjou pear like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, quite lively and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a mineral influenced green apple with notes of almond, quinine, and a touch of lime. The finish is dry and its flavors linger for quite some time. This wine was made for shellfish. I would have it with linguine and clams or bay scallops with a white wine garlic broth or Coquilles St. Jacques. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Colour: Bright straw yellow with greenish reflections. Bouquet: Delicate, with a slight fragrance of wild flowers. Taste: Dry and smoothly with a slightly bitter aftertaste. It is best enjoyed young at 10-11° C Food suggestion: Aperitifs, starters and fish.
