Wine Review: This pale ruby and translucent Pinot Noir from the Ferrington Vineyard in Anderson Valley opens with a very pretty and delicate strawberry bouquet with hints of cherry and faint RC Cola. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, soft and a little juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty mild red plum and cherry blend with hints of faint minerality, spice, cola and a touch of red raspberry in the background. This Pinot is very easy to quaff and it will not last long. It is also versatile and food friendly. I would pair it with a roasted quail with a Pinot Noir sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This wine introduces itself with violet florals, black cherry, fresh picked raspberry and a hint of tarragon on the nose. Pure and focused, the mouth is dominated by summer fruits such as red currant and macerated strawberry, combined with juicy plum tannins. A rounded mouthfeel and a highly structured graphite core leads into a lingering bramble and forest floor finish.
