Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Rhone blend from Perrin is very good. It opens with a black raspberry and boysenberry bouquet with hints of black jellybeans. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus mouthwatering acidity. The mouthfeel is round, and the fruit is juicy. Those fruit flavors are stewed black plum and blackberries along with integrated crushed stone minerality. I also detected notes of oak and black raspberry and a dash of black pepper. The finish is dry and its moderate sticky tannins linger and last for a very long time. This very good value wine would pair well with juicy Angus bacon burger. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Beautiful color of an intense deep red with purple reflections. The nose is particularly expressive with aromas of fresh cherries, cinnamon, and pepper. The palate is well balanced, with a lot of softness and elegant tannins.
