Wine Review: This midnight purple colored wine from Cotes du Rhone Villages is a well-priced grilling option to consider this summer. It opens with a mild black plum and blackberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and a bit savory. The flavor profile is a gentle blackberry and black plum blend with notes of black tea and black pepper. Some hints of oak and anise round out the flavors. The finish is dry and its flavors and medium tannins drift away nicely. This very good value red blend from Perrin, is a nice grilling companion. Pair it with your favorite burger or marinated steak tips off the grill this summer. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Elegant deep crimson-red dress. On the nose, this wine reveals a beautiful aromatic complexity with notes of black fruit, pepper and "garrigue". Smooth, well-structured and perfectly balanced, the palate offers aromas of blackberries, plums and licorice with a good length on the finish.
