Wine Review: I recently had a chance to try this impressive opaque and almost black colored Shiraz from South Africa. It opens with an oak infused black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and approachable. The flavor profile is a mild oak infused black cherry with nicely integrated dark chocolate. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are prolonged and linger nicely. This Shiraz was on a close out sale and it is a steal for $20. It is showing really well right now and would pair nicely with a NY Strip steak. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Inky dark, great depth of flavour, with excellent oak integration. Solid, smooth tannin, will age for 8 – 10 years.
