Wine Review: This medium ruby colored wine from the Chiroubles commune in Beaujolais opens with a faint craisin and watermelon rind bouquet with hints of wild strawberry and graphite. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, soft, and seamless. The flavor profile is tasty red plum and mild craisin blend with notes of red currant and oak. We also detected some hints of tea and cinnamon in the blend. The finish is dry, and its medium tannins stick around for quite a while. The Tasting Panel would pair this quaffer with a juicy bistro burger or with a pork roast with cherry stuffing. Enjoy – KWGTP
