Wine Review: A bright straw colored Chardonnay from FEL opens with a fragrant and attractive oak and apple bouquet with hints of lemon custard. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, soft and round. The flavor profile is a tasty oak influenced pineapple and pear blend with a hint of lemon. The finish is dry and its flavors fade away nicely. This is a very food friendly Chardonnay. I would pair it with Emeril’s crab cakes. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Fresh aromatics of lemon zest, pineapple, and verbena leap from the glass of this pure expression of cool climate Chardonnay. Unencumbered by new oak and malolactic, this refreshingly bright wine focuses on the clean fruit flavors so often lost in more heavy-handed styles of Chardonnay. Flavors of quince, white nectarine, and Lisbon lemon fill the palate and crisp mouthwatering acidity punctuates the finish.
