Wine Review: This light yellow colored Chardonnay from Oregon opens with a appealing mild lemon and green apple bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a tasty light lemon and gentle oak blend with notes of Anjou pear. I also detected hints of faint minerality and a touch of tangerine. The finish is dry and its drifts away nicely. This Chard is elegant and extremely food friendly. I would pair this gem with lemon piccata. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The wines of 2013 at Seven Springs exhibit a classical, elegant restraint that we love. Vibrant acidity and some richness provide a counterpoint to the purity of fruit. The minerality is immediately apparent, as is a beautiful tension that provides a stunning elegance. The most complex of our Chardonnays, Summum is one for the cellar.
