Wine Review: This pale straw colored Chardonnay from Oregon is very good. It opens with a fragrant lychee bouquet with hints of lime, new oak and a little wet slate. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, bright and elegant. The flavor profile is a tasty gentle lemon-lime with hints of minerality, lychee and oak. The finish is dry and somewhat subtle and friendly. The panel suggested pairing this finesse Chard with broiled bay scallops in garlic butter or Emeril's Coq au Vin Blanc. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The wines of 2013 at Seven Springs exhibit a classical, elegant restraint that we love. Vibrant acidity and some richness provide a counterpoint to the purity of fruit. The Chardonnays are equally impressive with their aromas of hay, freshly cut summer orchard fruits and vibrant, laser focused citrusy acidity in the mouth.
