Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot Noir from Evening Land opens with a mild blueberry and faint acai berry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty blueberry with hints of gentle plum, faint oak and a touch of strawberry licorice. The finish is dry and its flavors slide away nicely. This Pinot is very food friendly and would pair well with teriyaki chicken. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Beautiful and deep in color with a purple edge, the nose is broad and open with candied red and black fruit aromas reminiscent of fresh blackberry & huckleberry crumble. As the nose opens up, it defines and refines itself towards red currents, earthy and lavender notes sprinkled with exotic cardamom. On the palate, the smooth attack is lush and lends itself to a core of juicy red and black fruit, complementing the dry herbs and violet notes. The palate shows great weight with coating and refined textures that linger on the elegant and round finish.
