Wine Review: This light yellow colored Chardonnay by Evening Land opens with a mild pear and gentle creme brulee bouquet with a hint of oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a gentle lemon verbena with hints of green apple, green melon and faint pineapple. The finish is dry and its flavors subtly drift away. This Chard is very food friendly and versatile. I would serve it with chicken francese. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our Sonoma County Chardonnay taunts you with delicate fruits reminiscent of that fruit cocktail cup we savored as kids. Hints of vanilla and citrus meld into the oak and light herbaceous character the palate closes with. There is fullness to the wine with an acidic lift to carry the floral notes into your senses. This wine is to be enjoyed cold and with a delicious meal to compliment.
