Wine Review: This light straw colored Chardonnay opens with a light buttered popcorn with hints of apple in the background. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced and fruit forward. The flavor profile is buttered popcorn with apple and tangerine notes. I also detected hints of pineapple and butterscotch. The finish is dry and its flavors are nicely prolonged. This fruity Chard would pair well with cashew chicken. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A brilliant pale straw in color with hint of silver, the initial aroma on the nose is stone fruit and peach character sustained by subdued oak. As the wine opens in the glass, the floral component becomes apparent and intertwines with honeysuckle and lemon verbena notes in a frame of fresh quince. The wine is bright and fresh on the entry and broadens on the mid-palate with creamy notes of citrus, stone fruit and a hint of marzipan. The finish is long and restrained, supported by subdued oak aromas and flavors of creamy lemon tart.
