Wine Review: This pale straw colored Chardonnay from Oregon opens with a faint butterscotch and apple bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty mild apple with notes of faint oak and pear. I also detected hints of nicely integrated minerality and honey. The finish is dry and its flavors and gentle acidity fade away nicely. This Chard is very food friendly and would pair nicely with New England clam chowder. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This wine is a pale golden yellow in color. The nose is packed with lemon zest, pear, and quince, with hints of toasted sesame seeds and melon. The rich yet gentle entry on the palate is complemented by a citrusy, supple creaminess. The essence of dried pineapple and a sustained lemony fruit core finishes with a balanced acidity and soft minerality.
