Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Evening Land opens with a musty truffle and black cherry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, super smooth, and easy going. That said, it is not over complex. The flavor profile is a delicious mild oak infused blueberry with notes of black cherry and a touch of minerality. The finish is dry and gracefully fades away. This is a very elegant Pinot that shows terrific finesse. I would serve it with veal scallopini with sage and prosciutto. Enjoy this gem soon and once opened, it will not last long. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deep, brilliant garnet in color, the nose is voluptuous and broad showing red and black fruit at first and then opening into floral notes of rose and lavender with hints of cardamon and dried boletus. The palate is seamless with deep fruit flavors of blueberry and sour cherry cobbler, hints of rosemary and a very fine texture throughout. The finish is precise and direct, sustained by mineral notes and lingering fruit flavors, in the classic Seven Springs Vineyard style.
