Wine Review: This bright ruby colored Pinot Noir from Evening Land was very well received by our mini-group. It opens with a black raspberry bouquet with a hint of oak and nectarine. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty mild strawberry with notes of mild black raspberry. I also detected a hint of red plum, touch of faint oak, and dash of pepper. The finish is dry and it fades away gracefully. This Pinot is very food friendly and would be a perfect match for grilled salmon. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Beautiful deep garnet in color, the nose is filled with bright cherry aromas with floral notes and undertones of earthy forest floor. The palate is broad with lush, with a slightly chalky texture, yet elegant and precise with sustained fruit flavors amongst fine and textured tannins. The wine finishes elegantly in harmonious fashion.
