Wine Review: This white gold colored Chardonnay from Etude opens with a lemon pound cake and light oak bouquet with hints of butter, baked pear, and Nilla wafers. (mango) On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, bright, and very mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a mild oak influenced Anjou pear and almond blend with notes of pineapple and mango. We also detected hints of vanilla, grapefruit, and saline. The finish is dry, and its flavors and tingly acidity linger for quite a while. The Tasting Panel would pair this Chard with a chicken and wild mushroom ravioli with a light cream sauce or with chicken cordon bleu. Enjoy - KWGTP
