Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Etude opens with a mild toasted coconut and black currant bouquet with hints of cigar box, blackberry, and violets. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, rich, and seamless. The flavor profile is a tasty mild black currant and blueberry blend with notes of milk chocolate and blackberry. We also detected hints of Canada mint and graphite in the aftertaste. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and refined tannins stick around for quite some time. The Tasting Panel would pair this Cab with a porterhouse steak. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: A striking dark garnet color, this Rutherford Cabernet showcases its pedigree via aromas of sweet cherry liqueur, blue fruit of huckleberry, heady aromas of cut lavender and ripe berries and well-integrated barrel toast and baking spices. Velvety-rich cocoa-powder tannins, a signature of the "Rutherford Dust" profile, also come through with black cherry and plum. The finish is persistent with a polished, finely grained texture. This wine may be enjoyed now and for the next 15 years.
