Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Etude is Excellent. It opens with a very inviting ripe Bing cherry and graphite bouquet with hints of boysenberry, and oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with nicely integrated acidity. The mouthfeel is well-balanced and velvety. The flavor profile is a very tasty black currant and mild graphite blend with notes of dark chocolate and black cherry. We also detected hints of oolong tea and black licorice in the mix. The finish is dry and its integrated moderate dusty tannins build-up and linger nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Rutherford Cab with Porterhouse steak. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon was the first appellation wine to be introduced in our Cabernet series of very small bottlings dedicated to the benchland sub-appellations of Napa Valley.
