Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Etude is very good. It opens with a blackberry, blueberry and black tea bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, balanced, delicate and soft. The flavor profile is a gentle black currant, oak and mild mineral blend. I also detected hints of cardamom, black cherry, dark chocolate and toasted coconut mixed in. The finish is dry and its refined tannins and flavors slowly drift away. This Napa Cab goes down very easy and will not last long. It would pair perfectly with a filet mignon from your favorite steakhouse. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A bold and complex Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine is big and plush with voluptuous layers of ripe dark berry fruit aromas and flavors of black cherry, black currant, cassis and raspberry pie, alongside baking spice notes of cardamom, clove and nutmeg. Hints of cedar and oak spice dance on the palate (a hint at the well-integrated oak) and are enveloped by the velvety-rich tannins and unctuous structure. This Cabernet is warm and inviting with tremendous depth and concentration. Beautifully drinking upon release and will age for many years to come.
