Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Etude was very popular with yours truly and the Tasting Panel. It opens with an attractive black currant and black licorice bouquet with hints of blackberry and black pepper. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced, smooth and polished. The flavor profile is a very tasty black currant with nicely integrated minerality. We also detected hints of green tea and black olive. The finish is dry and its fine-grained tannins build up and last for a very long time. The Panel suggested pairing this gem with a ribeye steak. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This is a plush, mouth-filling wine with aromas and flavors of dark fruits such as blueberries, black cherries and blackberries, overlaid with black currant and mocha chocolate. Hints of cedar and oak spice with velvety tannins, well balanced and well-structured with deep concentration and the promise that given time, it will continue to surprise and delight with proper cellaring for another two decades. Best of all, for those with less patience, the wine is suitable for enjoyment and sharing with good friends right now.
