Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot Noir from Carneros opens with an appealing cherry vanilla bouquet with a hint of cola and eucalyptus. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, and very smooth. The flavor profile is a mild oak influenced gentle plum and cherry blend with notes of integrated minerality and a touch black pepper. The finish is dry and lingers nicely. The panel recommended pairing this very good Pinot with Colorado lamb chops or pork roast. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Deep ruby in color, the 2010 Carneros Pinot Noir is driven by inviting aromas of ripe cherry and red berries, and accented with notes of forest floor and Asian spice. The classically structured palate showcases a seamless blend of lush, dark fruit and oak, which is enhanced by refined tannins. Due to the low yield of this vintage, this defined Pinot Noir has an intensely concentrated fruit core that is balanced with a bright, lasting acidity.
