Wine Review: This opaque and very deep purple colored Malbec is very good. It opens with a boysenberry bouquet with hints of black tea and oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, smooth and rich. The flavor profile is a concentrated elderberry with notes of boysenberry and plum. I also detected hints of oak and tea towards the end, like the nose. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins stick around for little while. This savory Malbec is a very nice option to consider on a cool fall evening by the fireplace. I would pair it with Kerrygold Dubliner cheese and stone wheat crackers. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Enticing dark berry aromas fill the nose, mingling with hints of fresh ground coffee and violets. Juicy flavors fill the palate with vivid raspberry and dark cherry woven with cocoa and oak notes. As the wine opens, nuanced leather, pepper, spices, and mocha appear, adding depth and dimension to this delicious wine. Integrating tannins will continue to soften with bottle aging, allowing the luscious flavors to further blossom.
