Wine Review: This pitch black colored Cabernet Sauvignon based blend opens with black currant and oak blend with a hint black cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a black currant and mineral blend with notes of oak, plum and spice. I also detected hints of black pepper. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins stick around for a while. This blend would pair nicely with thin sliced beef brisket. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Rich, enticing aromatics of toasty vanillin oak mingle with vine-ripened blackberries and a kiss of coconut. A silken entry exposes the luscious blend of currant, blackberry, and dark cherry with hints of raspberry and blueberry. Cedary oak notes caress the layers of fruit as the long finish. Enjoy pairing this Bordeaux blend with your favorite steak.
