Wine Review: This medium garnet colored Nebbiolo from Langhe opens with a black cherry, old leather and graphite bouquet with hints of boysenberry and brewed coffee. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied. The flavor profile is a bit rustic. It features black cherry, plum and grainy earth with notes of blackberry. We also detected hints of cedar, wild strawberry and tar. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins and flavors drift away nicely. We felt this Nebbiolo would pair well with burnt ends or braised duck. Enjoy – Ken
