Wine Review: This light straw-colored Sparkler from Italy opens with a nice display of tiny bubbles with a bread dough and orange blossom bouquet. The medium body is smooth, dry, crisp, and zesty with balanced acidity and invigorating bubbly mouthfeel. The flavor profile is a lemon, lime, and green apple blend with notes of light orange and pear. The slightly tart finish sticks around and fades away nicely. I would recommend pairing this Italian Sparkler with a platter of your favorite hard cheeses. - Joe
Winemaker Notes: Vivid straw yellow color, high spirited perlage, minute and continuous. The perfume is intense, particularly refined, and reminiscent of green apple and bread crust, accompanied by mineral notes. Dry, clean, and elegant with an especially soft and persistent mouthfeel. As any first-class spumante Trentodoc, Piancastello Zero is the perfect aperitif and can also be enjoyed throughout the entire meal.
