Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir Is very good and impressed my tasting partner as well. It opens with a black raspberry and black cherry-cola bouquet with a hint of old leather. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a very tasty delicate blend of black plum, oak and black raspberry. I also detected some black pepper add to it character. The finish is dry and its flavors and faint tannins fade away nicely. This Pinot is extremely versatile and food friendly. I would pair it with grilled salmon. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This vintage has uncommon depth and persistence for Pinot Noir, while also being extremely aromatic. There is an abundance of cherry, plum, and raspberry aromas upfront, progressing into floral and mineral notes with tobacco leaf and toasty oak. On the palate, layers of black and red fruits weave around beautifully integrated tannins. The coating mouthfeel, mixed with the refreshing acidity of the wine, creates great complexity and persistence that continues to change and evolve in the glass.
