Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Sauvignon Blanc from Emmolo is very good. It opens with a mild lemon-lime bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very nicely balanced and smooth for a Sauvignon Blanc. The flavor profile is a gentle mineral influenced mild ginger. I also detected hints of light lime, saline and almond. The finish is dry and refreshing. This impressive Sauvignon Blanc was enjoyed by all that tried it and would pair very nicely with grilled swordfish. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: A luminous pale gold, this wine opens on the nose with freshness of a first summer rain, layered with scents of white peach and a hint of guava. The palate features a lively acidity balanced by delicate fruit flavors of peach and newly ripened honeydew. A tartness builds, softened by a smooth texture that lingers in the mouth. The mouth-watering finish is unusually bright and crisp.
