Wine Review: This red dark opaque purple red blend from Chile was one of my favorite selections from this year’s Newport Wine Festival. This impressive wine opens with an attractive mild blueberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, well balanced, and very smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty black currant with notes of blueberry and black raspberry. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins stick around nicely. This big bathtub blend from Chile would pair very nicely with a juicy grilled ribeye. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Intense violet color. Displays elegant expressions of ripe black-fruit including black berries and cassis delicately blended with oak, mineral, toffee, and chocolate notes. It is lush and full-bodied with round tannins and a distinct long finish that shows character and personality. Serve with roasted red meats, strong cheeses, and pasta with spicy sauces. Also marries well with dried fruits.
