Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot Noir for Oregon is very good. It opens with pomegranate and red raspberry bouquet with hints of oak. On the palate, this wine is light to medium bodied, balanced and very approachable. The flavors are fruit forward and tasty. Those flavors are a ripe black plum and mild oak blend with hints of 80% dark cocoa, espresso and a dash of black pepper. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors are nicely prolonged. This Pinot is food friendly and would pair well with slow cooked Texas pulled pork. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This wine shows as deep, cherry red with aromas of cedar wood, cherry cordial and peppercorn. A complementary palate both juicy and savory buttress layers of sweet cranberry, ripe tannins, raspberry and notes of warm cinnamon and lead to a long, juicy finish.
