Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Elk Cove is very good. It opens with a red currant bouquet with hints of pomegranate and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a blackberry and oak blend with notes of minerality and red plum. The finish is dry and its flavors and mild tannins slip away nicely. This Pinot is food friendly and would pair well with roast pork tenderloin with pears and figs. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Elegant yet dense, this wine opens up with aromas of preserved cherry, cola, balsamic and sage and heads into flavors of black currant and cinnamon spice. Chocolate tannins stretch into a juicy smokiness along the lengthy finish.
