Wine Review: This is an enjoyable, well-priced, Chardonnay from the Edna Valley. The color is pale straw and it opens with an inviting fruity melon bouquet. I also detected hints of coconut and pineapple. I found it to be medium bodied and smooth with flavors of pear, butterscotch and light mango. I also detected hints of oak. I enjoyed its lively crisp acidity and nice dry finish. This crowd-pleasing Chardonnay is food friendly. I would pair it with a lemon, olive oil and herb marinated grilled scallops. – Joe
Winemaker Notes: Our Edna Valley Vineyard Chardonnay begins with bright aromas of lime blossom. On the palate, layers of white peach and apricot intertwine with notes of pineapple and brown spice. A lively acidity and smooth, generous mouthfeel create a perfectly balanced expression of Chardonnay.
