Wine Review: This dark red colored Zinfandel from the Shamrock Vineyard opens with a red raspberry and pomegranate bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, round and juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty cherry and strawberry blend with notes of cocoa and blueberry. I also detected some gentle hints of oak in the background. The finish is dry and its flavors are nicely extended. This Zin is food friendly and would pair nicely with meat lasagna. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Always the most savory of the Edmeades Zinfandels, aromas of bay leaf, cherry pit, crushed cranberries, and dried herbs comprise the wine’s bouquet. Flavors of fresh blackberries, cherries, and blood orange are framed by bright acidity and firm tannins.
