Wine Review: This dark red colored Zinfandel opens with a mild pomegranate and red currant bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty plum and black cherry blend with hints of blueberry, cocoa, cinnamon, and a touch of oak. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins stick around for a little bit. This Zin is a crowd pleaser and food friendly. It can be enjoyed with your favorite brick-oven pizza or wild boar ragu over fettuccine. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The wine expresses aromas of ripe raspberries, cherries, red currants, and nectarines. The fruit characteristics are complimented by notes of cinnamon, vanilla bean, graham crackers, and toasted oak. Soft tannins and a medium body accentuate the wine’s generous fruit profile. A refreshing acidity lends the wine spryness that lets the fruit resonate and slowly fade over a long finish.
