Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored red blend from Edmeades is a bit of a fruit bomb. It opens with a fragrant black raspberry and Dr. Pepper bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, balanced and very juicy. The flavor profile is a cola and black cherry blend with notes of plum and strawberry licorice. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors drift away nicely. This wine would pair nicely with a barbecue bacon burger. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The wine opens up with aromas of black fruits, blueberries, and rhubarb pie, complimented by subtle savory notes of black pepper, mesquite, and tar. Rich flavors of berry pie and baking spices are heightened by soft tannins and a round, lush texture. The finish lingers with tones of dark chocolate, cocoa powder, and black licorice.
