Wine Review: This translucent and light-yellow colored Chardonnay from Eden Rift opens with an oak, honeydew melon, and poached pear bouquet with hints of apricot and pineapple. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, fresh, and elegant. The flavor profile is a gentle Anjou pear and chalky minerality blend with notes of banana and lemon-lime. We also detected hints of pineapple and ginger. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. We would pair this Chard with chicken francese or with crab cakes. Enjoy – KWGTP
