Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Syrah opens with a red currant bouquet with a hint of blackberry and violets. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, and well balanced. The flavor profile is a blend of tart black currant mixed with sweet black cherry with a touch of mocha and soy mixed in. The finish is dry and its moderate spicy tannins linger for a little while. One taster thought this would pair well with chicken parmesan. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Aromas of cherry and spices lift to the nose. On the palate, black cherry flavors dominate, along with ripe berries and plum, in a sweet earth context, with a leather highlight in a long, moderately tannic finish.
