Wine Review: Retrospective Review: This midnight purple-colored opens with an inviting teaberry gum bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and savory. The profile is blackberry and stony minerality with notes of black raspberry tea and boysenberry. The finish is dry and its flavors and mild tannins drift away nicely. This Syrah based wine would pair well with a filet mignon. Collectors: If you have this wine is your cellar, we recommend that you try a bottle in the near term. Our bottle was showing very well now and did not need any more cellaring. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Eye: Ruby red with red vermillion tints.
Nose: Small red fruits, blackberry, and floral violet aromas. Intensely aromatic, powerful but full of finesse.
Palate: Supple with balance between the finesse of the aromas and an explosive richness due to the concentration of the wine. Greatly expressive of the terroir.
Overall: A feminine wine with voluptuous silky texture and intense aromas.
