Wine Review: This golden yellow colored Chardonnay from Dutton Goldfield is very good. It opens with a very fragrant oak and pineapple bouquet with hints of ripe pear. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, with nice acidity and no edges. The flavor profile mirrors the nose with flavors of vanilla, oak and pineapple along with notes of Bartlett pear and hints of nutmeg and lemon at the end. The finish is dry and its acidity and flavors show nice length for Chardonnay. This rich Chard would pair well with lobster bisque. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Explosive apple, Asian pear, and lemon/lime fruit are interlaced with gardenia and lemon blossom in the nose. The mouth is decadently creamy, with lychee and orchard fruit compote kept lively by a core of focused citrus. The wine finishes with a wonderful combination of brightness and richness. Pair with luxurious foods like Crab Louie or fettuccine Alfredo.
