Wine Review: This medium purple colored Pinot Noir from the Sonoma Coast opens with a fragrant boysenberry bouquet with hints of fennel seed, raspberry and cedar. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with fresh bright acidity. The flavor profile is a tart black raspberry with notes of blackberry and flinty minerality. We also detected hints of cocoa, black cherry and black tea. The finish is dry and its fine-grained tannins fade away nicely. The Panel suggested pairing this Pinot with a garlic and herb roast pork tenderloin. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Our 2017 Deviate practically jumps out of the glass to greet you, letting you know this is going to be one outgoing and effusive wine. Bold aromas of black cherry and black raspberry are underlain with tobacco, thyme, and licorice interwoven with pretty violet floral accents. The wine is mouth-filling and rich, unfurling brambly berry flavors. Black tea notes support the assertive black raspberry fruit, with firm tannins carrying everything to a long, sandalwood-laced finish. Try it with lamb stew.
