Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Dutton Goldfield was very well-received by the Tasting Panel. It opens with a fragrant and inviting raspberry coulis and spice bouquet with hints of black tea, violets and eucalyptus. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, balanced, soft and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty cherry-cola and red plum blend with notes of old oak and vanilla. We also detected hints of black tea and pomegranate. The finish is dry and its fine supple tannins linger and last for quite a while. The Panel suggested pairing this Pinot with roasted Cornish game hen. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: From the first whiff, Angel Camp's trademark dusky plum notes greet you, along with sandalwood and brambleberry in the background providing extra depth. Pretty violet floral accents weave their way through the berry and spice. The mouth echoes the high-toned sweet plum and wild berry fruit, underlain with black tea, peaty earthy, and spice box. The round and soft tannins provide a luxuriously creamy finish, leaving you with a sense of elegance.
