Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir opens with a mild red plum and red cherry bouquet with a hint of vanilla. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a very tasty cherry with notes of ripe red plum, gentle oak and mild minerality. We also picked up some hints of vanilla. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity linger and last for quite a while. The Panel thought this delicate Pinot Noir would pair well with fresh sliced Norwegian salmon or a veal chop. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The signature spice of Anderson Valley is rounded out with more fruit notes this vintage, leading with sweet black raspberry, filled in with sandalwood and peat notes. There’s a creamy quality to the nose, and a sense of balance that makes you want to sit down and get to know this wine. Black cherry and plum greet your first sip, followed by a candied mid-palate, spice box notes, and a fresh, bright finish. Foods with a little earthiness and weight make a perfect mate for this Anderson Valley Pinot.
