Wine Review: This light yellow colored Chardonnay opens with a light oak and apple bouquet. One the palate, this wine is full bodied, slightly acidic and crisp. The flavor profile is a butter infused tart lemon with notes of integrated oak and a hint of honey. The finish is dry and its acidity lingers. The panel suggested pairing this Chard with a three cheese tortellini with Alfredo sauce or seafood risotto. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: We can’t stop raving about the wonderful whites from the 2011 vintage. The combination of hedonistic opulence and crystalline fruit concentration is at the core of the Rued personality, and 2011 was a perfect vintage to show it off. The nose entices with a peach/pear fruit compote , tropical guava and lychee, with citrusy tangerine and lime elements to hold it all together. Overtones of sweet toffee and a touch of ginger add extra complexity. In the mouth, the concentration, acid freshness and lushness carry the lime/mango/pear fruit through the long, cleansing finish. Mineral and toffee overtones add to the hedonism and the need to have another sip. Don't let us stop you, unless it’s to have a bite of that lobster bisque or baked Halibut first. This is a wine that loves to open up in the glass, and age in the bottle for many years.
