Wine Review: This pale yellow colored Gewurtz opens with a mild lily of the valley like bouquet. There was a whiff of tangerine as well. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a mild mineral infused gentle apricot. The finish is dry and refreshing. This is a very versatile and food friendly Gewurtz. I would serve it with linguini with a garlic and clear wine broth. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: In the nose, it is classic Gewurztraminer, with floral notes layering onto the core of ripe stone fruits and white grapefruit. In the mouth, the candied peach really comes through, along with a hint of minerality, and grapefruit on the finish. Though this is a wine that is extremely clean and bright, it has the complexity and structure for great food pairing. Try it with non spicy Asian fare, pasta with shrimp and cilantro, or roasted pork.
