Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot opens with a very fragrant ripe red raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very nicely balanced, and savory. The flavor profile is a very tasty red raspberry jam with delicate oak nicely blended in. The finish is dry and its well managed tannins are delicate and drift along nicely. This wine would be a perfect match for veal marsala. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The core of cranberry fruit is a bit more candied than most years, and the tannin structure is particularly soft and sweet in presentation. In the nose, the wine leads with focused cranberry and strawberry fruit, along with Asian spice and a touch of thyme that is the hallmark of the vineyard. In the mouth, the abundant, developed tannins carry sweet cranberry and cherry fruit through the bright, lingering finish. It is the nuance and detail of this wine that sets it apart. Touches of coriander, Bing cherry, nutmeg and white pepper appear in turn as you enjoy the bottle. Try this wine with a simple stew, or just by itself, but be sure to lay some down, as its future promise is clear.
