Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot opens with a mild strawberry like bouquet with a hint of smoke and spice. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a pleasant black cherry and red currant blend. There is also a gentle touch of oak in the background. The finish is dry and its mild tannins are dusty and linger nicely. The panel would pair this wine with pork tenderloin or turkey. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The nose of this wine leads with red plum, strawberries and pomegranate, with nuances of chipped granite and raspberry turn-over. The impression in the mouth is that of exceptionally sweet silky tannins, almost chalky in texture, which support the candied cherry and pomegranate fruit. These tannins and acidity carry the floral and mineral notes though the lengthy, lively finish. The final impression is one of integration and completeness. Enjoy this wine now and for the next decade with grass-fed beef or Gruyere.
