Wine Review: This appealing Russian River Valley Chardonnay is a pale golden yellow color, with a rich bouquet that includes Bosc pear, lemon drops, creme brulee, and light gardenia floral notes. On the palate, there's a textured and silky mouthfeel with good balance. Everything well-managed. Sumptuous, medium-plus bodied, bright medium-plus acidity and plenty of ripe fruit. There are flavors of lemon tea, poached pear, ginger, baking spice and vanilla oak, along with tangy notes of lime and green apple. The finish is dry and moderate in length, with a light brown butter note. Serve with baked brie topped with apricot jam. - Mark
