Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Dutton Estate opens with a black cherry and red raspberry bouquet with hints of faint vanilla and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, smooth, and gentle. The flavor profile is a tasty blend of blackberry, clove, and black pepper with notes of boysenberry and licorice. I also detected hints of oak and black cherry. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and moderate tannin are nicely sustained. I would pair this food friendly and refined Pinot Noir with beef bourguignon. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: A light-bodied and wonderfully complex Pinot Noir that displays delicate florals on the nose, anchored by aromas of plum and currant. The palate is prominent with red berries, cranberries, dried herbs, and a touch of baking spice. The plush tannins and medium acidity from the clonal selection allow for a balance of fruit, acidity, and spice, resulting in a longer finish.
