Wine Review: This deep yellow colored Chardonnay from the Russian River Valley opens with a lemon tea and green apple bouquet with a hint of pineapple and honeydew melon. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and subtle. The flavor profile is a chalky minerality and Anjou pear blend with notes of light oak and almond. I also detected some hints of baking spice and faint pineapple. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity are nicely extended. I would pair this Chard with baked halibut with garlic-butter sauce. Enjoy – Ken
